RESOLUTION  NO. 3509                                                              

A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING RATES FOR CONNECTION FEES AND MAIN CHARGES FOR THE WATER UTILITY FUND AS REQUIRED BY BAKER CITY ORDINANCE NO. 2789.

WHEREAS, the City Council of Baker City, Oregon, did on the 26th day of June, 1979, adopt Ordinance No. 2789, regulating and controlling the operation of the Baker City Water Utility System, and

WHEREAS, Section 3.020 General Policy for Charges and Fees, paragraph 6, requires the City Council to set fees for main charges and connection fees by Resolution and review such charges annually at January 1st of each year, and

WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the fees for main charges and connection fees,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Baker City, Oregon, that the following fees are hereby established:

1.         Connection Fees to the Baker City Water System:

5/8" x 3/4"                                          Water Service:          $675.00

3/4" x 3/4"                                          Water Service:          $700.00

1" x 1"                                                             Water Service:          $750.00

Connection fees for water service over the normal size of 1" will be charged at actual cost of installation plus 20% for overhead expenses.

2.         Main Charges will be made to the property owner requesting water service at $24.50 per assessable front foot of property as outlined in Ordinance No. 2789.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that these fees will be effective upon passage of this resolution.
