The City of Baker City invites proposals for contracted legal services. Proposals are due to the City Manager's Office by 5:00 p.m. on November 18, 2011. The City seeks services encompassing the traditional scope of work including legal counsel, opinions, consultation, and coordination with special counsel. This is not a full-time position, it is anticipated that the City Attorney services would be typically 10 to 15 hours per month.
Attendance at occasional meetings will be required, including meetings with Staff and Council meetings as specified by the City Manager or City Council. Typically the City Attorney does not attend City Council meetings. The City presently has a City Attorney that has served in this capacity for three years. The City Council has decided that it would be prudent and an exercise of due diligence on the part of the City to solicit proposals for legal services.
