The City & Golf Board would like to hear the public input in regard to this year's fee schedule. The community is invited for a meeting on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at the City Hall in the Council Chamber.

Sidewalk replacement funds for the 2012 grant year continue to be available through June 30, 2013 or until grant funds have been expended. Currently there is approximately $4,300 still available for sidewalk replacement projects. Applications for the 2012 grant year can be found in the Public Works Department of City Hall or on the City's website at www.bakercity.com

To qualify, you must be improving an existing sidewalk. This is a reimbursment grant, meaning grant dollars will not be dispersed to property owners until the sidewalk improvement project is complete and the final inspection reflects that the "new" sidewalk meets the City of Baker City's construction specifications.

The 2012 grant is awarded at the rate of $2.50 per square foot of qualifying sidewalk construction. The maximum grant award available for each property with single sidewalk frontage is $1,250. The maximum grant award available for each property with double sidewalk frontage (corner lot properties), where sidewalk improvements are being done to each of the sidewalk frontages, is $1,500.

Applications for the 2013 grant cycle will be available beginning May 1, 2013.
