The Golf Board was created to promote the Quail Ridge Golf Course owned by the City, which is considered one of the most important assets of our community. This board works closely with the golf course operator, Billy Cunningham, and the City Manager to ensure the continued success of the course. The Golf Board is a three- year term commitment.
Here are some of the duties of the Golf Board:
- General charge and supervision of the municipal Golf Course to include: the grounds, greens, buildings, and all apparatus.
- Oversee the records of all receipts and disbursements kept by the city with regard to the operation of the Municipal Golf Course.
- Annually prepare and submit to the City Council a recommended budget for the operation, maintenance, and capital improvement of the Golf Course.
- Promulgate and enforce all rules and regulations for the operation and use of the golf course.
