The Oregon Jobs and Transportation Act of 2009 (JTA) awarded 4.5 million dollars for the reconstruction of Resort Street and a portion of Best Road between Campbell Street and Highway 86. Funding comes from House Bill 2001 (HB2001) which is the State Transportation funding bill passed by the 2009 State Legislature and signed by the Governor. It took effect on January 1, 2011.
We have started preliminary work this construction season. The majority of the work will be completed in either 2012 or 2013 depending on the availability of additional funding to place the existing overhead utilities underground. Best Road construction will take place the year following the completion of the Resort Street Improvements.
