Airport
Baker City Municipal Airport is located in Baker County, Oregon, approximately three miles north of the Baker City city limits. The airport, encompassing some 398 acres, is owned and operated by the City of Baker City, but is located in an unincorporated portion of Baker County.
The airport is managed by the City Manager with policy set by the City Council. A seven member Airport Commission also provides operating and policy guidance. The airport is regulated by City ordinances that establish rules for he conduct of commercial activities and set lease, fee, and license requirements.
Airfield support is provided by a fixed base operator, Baker Aircraft, commenced operation in August of 2003. It presently provides a full line of aeronautical services such as fuel (Jet A and 100LL), flight instruction, aircraft rental, charter, and maintenance. Additionally, a tail dragger endorsement is available.
