Community Development

Our purpose is to help ensure that our local business and historic districts receive the support necessary so that they may continue their efforts to provide a variety of shopping and service options for residents, nearby communities and visitors.  Our department will also be looking at ways to support our artisan community and enhance our quality of life through beautification projects, events, and partnerships.

Community Development is guided by goals that are established by the Baker City Council and input from citizen’s like you.  As development needs evolve over time, so will we. Please reach out to us and let us know how we can better serve you.

The newly elected BCD Board is looking forward to reaching out to prospective members and hearing what downtown business and property owners’ goals are and how an organization such as this can help support their businesses. For more information and to sign up to receive updates please visit http://bakercitydowntown.com/.
